ExtractThumb is designed to do as little with your data as possible. This page explains what that means in plain terms.

What we collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect names, emails, or YouTube links you paste into the tool. The video links you enter are processed to build the thumbnail image address and are not stored on our servers.

How thumbnails are fetched

When you download an image, the request passes through a small server-side function on this site that retrieves the publicly available thumbnail from Google's image servers and hands it back to your browser. The function does not log the links it processes.

Cookies and advertising

This site may display ads from third-party networks, including Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits here and elsewhere on the internet.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are visited and how the tool performs. Any such data is aggregated and is not used to identify individuals.
